Hey, I want to buy a PC, but I'm confused about whether the list I've put together is good—specifically, if the specifications are right. I plan to use it for graphic design, coding, and casual gaming. Could you guys check it out and let me know? This will be my first PC build, and I intend to use it for over 7 years. Sounds great, three things I would point out, First, 16GB of ram might not get you through the next 7 years, I think 32 would be a good minimum Second, similarly for the GPU, 8GB might not be enough for you to last 7 years without cranking down the graphics a lot. Maybe check out some 10/12 gig cards that’ll at least give you some headroom esp on higher than 1080p resolution. Third, if you’re planning on coding heavily on this PC, I’d say 32gb ram is a minimum and having a 16GB GPU like the Radeon 9060/9070 (XT, or not) will allow you to run some cool models on ollama which would greatly benefit with more VRAM Even these are optional, you’ll have a great PC nonetheless and if you take your time you could find some great used stuff and slowly upgrade eventually.
