Probably best to have someone come and look at it in situ. The fuel filter housing isn't underneath the car on an Impreza so it either has to be a leak from the sender, or the tank or a line has rusted through.
If it's leaking fuel from under the car, there's an extreme risk of fire owing to hot exhaust components. Would discourage you from driving it.
