Give me some reality checks

Current Specs consists of an Intel Core i5-6500 (4 cores, 4 threads) installed on a Z170 motherboard, paired with a GTX 1660 Super. I have 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, a 256 GB TEAM SSD, and a 500 GB hard drive, all powered by a 750 W Mars power supply. Made it exactly 3 years ago for around 415-430$ at that time, I dont know the exact exchange rates. The hardware is gradually getting expensive in my country because of import tax. I built it for only gaming at that time no long term commitment from my part. The cpu was a great bottleneck. Now the need for some repairment and upgrade has come. I want to upgrade my pc mainly for blender work and gaming (new AAA titles). Cant instantly get a new gpu, i heard people buy pc hardware and resale it after a few months. Ram and ssd are sky rocketing and a new gpu is out of my budget for now. TLDR; upgrading cpu and mobo for the time being - budget around 200$. Can i resell my old parts and how much should i xpect from them. Im leaning towards an am4 build so a b550 mobo and a ryzen 5 5600 rn.
