Is AM4 still worth buying in 2026 if I'm trying to save money?

I'm planning to build a new PC soon and can't decide between AM4 and AM5. My original plan was to go with AM5, but DDR5 memory is still pretty expensive where I live, and once I add a B650 motherboard and RAM, the total cost goes up a lot.On the other hand, I can build an AM4 system with something like a Ryzen 5 5600 and 32GB DDR4 for noticeably less money, and put the savings toward a better GPU later.I mostly play games like Valorant, CS2, World of Tanks, and occasionally edit videos or work on small projects. I'm aiming for 1080p/1440p gaming and don't necessarily need the latest hardware if the performance difference isn't huge.If you were building on a budget today, would you still choose AM4, or is it worth stretching the budget for AM5 just for the upgrade path?I'd love to hear what you would do in my situation
