This is the most ridiculous problem I’ve ever faced. I upgraded from a 6700 xt to a 9070 xt. Worked great for a day! Turned my computer off and now there’s no display. Played around for a while had vga light on fast forward to current problem. All the ez debug lights are off, and I was wondering why I was getting no display. My display port cable was not connected. Plugged it in and ~30 seconds later pc shut itself off. As of writing this post everything is exactly how it was before I upgraded my gpu. Boot sequence seems to initiate then no debug lights then power off. Build Msi b650 gaming plus WiFi Ryzen 7 9800x3d Gigabyte RX 9070XT 32 gb ddr5 3600mhz ram 2tb Nvme Corsair RM850e What ive done Reset CMOS Reseat ram Attempt to get pc to boot with one stick of ram Put old gpu back in Unplug my secondary hdd Reseated atx 24 pin connector for motherboard Ive tried integrated graphics with the gpu taken out Tried a different monitor My theory Bad psu. Only thing I can think of. Maybe I shorted it? But it worked flawlessly at first? And it still boots, at least for a minute. Research suggests an 850 watt psu would work just fine and it did for a day! I’m at my wits end. May try to get a 1000w psu to eliminate if all else fails.

Does IGPU work?
No. The point I’m at right now is even with display port cable unplugged the computer shuts off after around a minute. I’ve tried hdmi as well
Bad mobo could also be the culprit, because even iGPU did not post.
Very good observation I was thinking something similar. If new psu does not work then new mobo is mext
Update: putting new gpu in results in vga light to remain on and the pc doesn’t power itself off. Still no display. Going to unplug display port cable from gpu Nothing happened I’m gonna go get a 1000w power supply. I’ll be back
Update 2: new psu didn’t do anything , new motherboard now stuck on yellow boot light. Troubleshooting now
Update 3: i re applied thermal paste to my cpu with my gpu taken out i had hdmi into my IGPU i finally got display. I then went and put my new gpu in and it only worked on HDMI. Installed windows and then figured out my display port cable must have been beat. new display port cable seemed to have done the trick. I literally replaced the cpu, ram, psu, gpu, ssd and it wouldnt work but reapplying thermal paste, updating BIOS and using IGPU without a gpu inserted finally got it to display. This has been the most frustrating day.
