Quite recently we've been in the market of purchasing a second refrigerator to store more food. Plan to put it in the basement, but we have no width space for something like a chest freezer. So l landed my eyes on a taller - but "skinnier" appliance to acquire the same cubic capacity as our regular fridge. (28" W × 32" D x 76-1/2" H) My ONLY concern here... is the landing. Railing removals; etc are no problem. The first half of the corner is the tightest; 5.5" height clearance with a 2.5" width clearance mid-way w/ a stepdown that frees up the space. Would this be possible; even with professional movers? EDIT: Clearances on images are inches / NOT feet (stairway space - fridge dimensions).

Some of your measurements are unclear, it may be helpful to list everything in inches or it looks like you tried to measure things also in feet at some point " Double quotes symbol typically means inches. ' single quotes symbol typically means feet. I'm assuming that the width of your stairway is the same on the top half and the bottom half with your bottom half indicates 2.5 ft? Or 30 inches. The dimensions you listed list 28 by 32 inches, so even if this freezer was two-dimensional such as a flat piece of cardboard, you wouldn't be able to get the flat piece of cardboard in that dimension down the stairs while keeping it mostly horizontal. Keep in mind for something being hauled like this you also need space for an appliance dolly if you don't want to jack up your stairs and walls which you definitely don't have space for, this equals a lot of pinched fingers in an attempt to get it around the corner. If you still think you can get it to fit I suggest you go by your local hardware store and buy some 1x2 lumber and build a frame that would be the same dimension as the fridge and try to get it down the stairs. $10 worth of lumber and screws will figure out the question for you
The clearances on the images are subtracted from the stairway space - to the given dimensions. The lumber sounds like a great idea 👍🏽

Divide your inches from the fridge dimensions by 12 and you might start to see a problem.

Are you measuring with the fridge doors on or off? Taking off the doors can give you quite a bit of slack depending on the model.
This is not close enough to even try. Even if you could angle it down one row of stairs, it needs to stand straight up to make the corner. It’s not even close to making that.

This is going to be rough and I suspect the top will get caught against the ceiling as you wont be able to lower it all the way due to the stairs. Also depends on how heavy. 2 men can easily carry a fridge using the furniture moving straps. However that relies on you both being on opposite sides which will be difficult on that landing. If I was sure it would fit, I would probaby go on the bottom end and use a dolly to get it down the last few stairs. If you arent sure it will fit, may want to shop a smaller fridge or find room for it upstairs.
Just put it on the landing and build new stairs.
Do those dimensions include the doors? Can you remove them?
Just move all the stuff. That makes the most sense. We would risk damaging the fridge with all the obstacles in the way.
Having read the comments and also ran the maths, more slowly than I’d like to admit, the answer is no. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago, we tried, it didn’t work. Then I measured up and it was close to the challenge you have now. Had a similar problem with a sofa on another floor. We ended up cutting through the base fabric to remove the feet, then moving it and, you can imagine the rest. Was worth it but here is spare you the aggravation of possible.

66” and 30” would be a little faster for most people to process. Only fridges that small are usually whirlpool models - especially regarding height
Take all those shoe racks out and I’m sure you’ll have plenty of space.
Are the doors on the fridge removable? If so you can gain a few inches of clearance
