Male mid-30's here and lifelong severe acne sufferer (face, chest, and back mostly) who was able to finally get my "normal" and cystic acne under control through a mix of diet and skincare routine (heavily influenced by this sub!!!). However, every day I wake up with between 1 and 10 little whiteheads on my nose bridge, nose sides, and upper/lower lip lines. They are slightly painful but usually go away throughout the day and fully heal within a day or two. Not terrible but definitely annoying and I CANNOT find what is triggering them. I can't even wear glasses anymore as it makes the nose area significantly worse. Hoping some people on this sub may have some suggestions, but I am definitely not touching or putting any products on those areas that would be irritating as I have very sensitive skin and am very careful with what I do to and use around my facial area due to several years of trial and error including always using clean towels and regularly replacing my pillowcases. Daily routine: AM: gentle face wash, moisturize, sunscreen PM: gentle oil cleanse (biggest game changer IMO), face wash, moisturize

That could be it! I'll cut out B12 and see if it makes a difference. Thank you!

I have. It usually does more harm than good as it really aggravates my sensitive skin. Might be time to go back to the derm and see what they recommend though.

A combination of cutting out 99% of added sugar from my diet, avoiding any friction to my skin on acne prone places (such as touching your face, wearing glasses, and wearing backpacks or bags for my shoulder acne), and washing my skin gently but thoroughly after exercising/sweating/wearing sunscreen. For example, I used to have terrible acne on my upper back and shoulders but now when I workout I change shirts often when I get really sweaty and immediately shower when I get home. Also, changing towels and pillowcases frequently along with anything else that frequently touches problem areas. It sucks at first, but it quickly becomes habit and doesn't feel like an inconvenience. You should also notice results pretty quickly within a week or two if this is a trigger for you, but of course, everyone is different and can have different acne triggers. We just have to find what works for us.

This sounds similar to the type of acne I get when I take supplements, drink energy drinks, or drink fortified milk with massive amounts of B12 in them.

Have you tried any acne treatments? I would try salicylic acid for the whiteheads

How did you cure your cystic acne?
