I’m currently under a joint credit card with my dad and I’m looking to open up my first independent credit card. I recently graduated college and i’m entering grad school and will be living with my boyfriend. I’m looking for a credit card that has good cash back for groceries, food, and travel rewards as well. my bf was able to make me an authorized user of AMEX plat so I do have my name under a card that I only use for airport lounges & don’t spend money. my credit score is around 770 and I was looking for Chase Sapphire Preferred, Capitol One Savor, or AMEX BCE. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice? Thank you!

Is this a true joint card? Joint cards are exceedingly rare these days, usually one person has to be the primary account holder and the other is just an authorized user. Are you sure you're not just an authorized user on your dad's card? If you're not sure, it will be listed next to the account on your credit report where it says "responsibility". EDIT: The reason I'm asking is because it makes a big difference in what cards you're likely to get approved for.

Ollo Everyday has 3% back on groceries, and Chase Freedom Flex has 3% back on dining. I have both and am super happy with it, especially since they have no annual fee.
