Recommendations for silk pillowcases ?
I've heard a silk pillowcase is good for my face and hair. I have absolutely zero knowledge about it and would like to have some help about finding the right one due to it being pricey

I went with Wirecutter recommendation and also have some from blissy when they were on sale. I tried an Amazon cheapo one and I burnt a part of the material and it was fake and made of some kind of plastic. But at your own risk because there are fakes out there
That's what I did. I think they were labeled mulberry silk. Zipper on one end. I bought about a half dozen so I can change them 2 or 3 times a week and still have enough when some are waiting to be laundered. Looked up how to wash silk online. Printed out an article for later reference. The main points: use a soap formulated for silk and wool. Other laundry soaps or detergents may have an enzyme that damages the fabric. cool water, hand wash, no wringing. I use minimal soap and rinse multiple times. It's obvious when soap residue remains because it dulls the fabric and affects the texture. the article suggests rolling the silk up into a towel and drying flat. I've been hanging my pillowcases in the tub enclosure using a hanger with the little clippy things. Smooth out any wrinkles and let it drip. I either bring a fan into the bathroom or move the damp-but-no-longer-dripping pillowcases out where there's air flow. I've found it helpful to zip the zipper closed before laundering.
if you have really long hair i think the bonnet would be better
The best reasonably priced ones I’ve found are Cataluna at target. As noted, take care from online sellers as some are not real silk.
hard questionnn omg cuz ill chose pillowcase to prevent acne yk
Is it better to buy a silk pillowcase or a silk bonnet? I'm debating between the two
True BIFL silk pillowcases are just as much a matter of care as it is craftsmanship. Wash delicately, if not by hand, with special detergent and line dry.
Fishers Finery. Good variety with explanations. I’ve loved mine, as have family members.
I like my quince one so far. The zipper ones are better
I get mine on Amazon, no-name brand, for about half what others go for. Just make sure it's real silk.
I have both a Slip and a Blissy that I rotate. I prefer the Slip. I think it’s a tad softer Whatever you do, actually put it in a garment bag when you wash it. I skipped that with my first one and it ripped along the zipper.
Lots of sellers say 'silk' when what they are selling is silk like. Just be sure you are actually getting silk. I like mine a lot but it has been too long to remember where I got it from.
Clementine. Pricy but so good
The ones from Slip can get pricey, but they are better quality - both the pillowcase itself and the zip, if you are getting a zip one. They're great for skin (no more pillow face pleating) but also if your hair tends to frizz, they prevent that. Magic!
I have a Fisher’s Finery black label 100% Pure Mulberry silk, 30 Momme. Love it, it was $ but so worth it
I tried two brands - blissy and fishers finery, and blissy is much better/silkier
I ordered 6 of these last year and they’ve been great and are holding up strong compared to others I’ve bought on Amazon in the past. I have always washed mine in a delicates bag on cold then hang dry: https://a.co/d/047TwwUU
I just bought a set of pillowcases from the brand, "ettitude" - the Airy Clean Bamboo Sateen pillowcase set. 🤍
