Help with cables for Zotac 5080 and RM850 PSU

Hi all, I'm upgrading my GPU from a 3070ti to a Zotac 5080 but I'm a bit confused about what cables I need. I read from the product page that the 5080 comes with a three 8pin into 12pin connector. But I dont have 3 8pin cables so I looked at the CORSAIR Type 4 PSU 90° 12V-2x6 Style A Cable because it's also a 90° and it will look nicer I think but obviously then it's only 2 cables instead of 3. Are the two cables enough to power the card still? Sorry if this is an obvious question. Just with the amount of money I'd be spending on a gpu I want to make sure I get it right and I dont brick it.

I'd get a PSU with a native 12VHPWR cable or one that has three 8-pin connectors.
Sorry I mean I dont have the cables. I've looked at the back of my PSU and I'm confident I have enough ports. I just dont have any 8pin to 8pin connectors I only have what I'm using right now which is one cable plugged into the PSU and it splits into two 6pins with a little 2pin next to each 6pin. In fact I've just looked in the box my PSU came in and I have found another one of those same cables. So I guess I can just use them and plug them into the "3 x 8-pin-to-16-pin cable" which comes with the card?

Then there's no reason you can't use it. The number of plugs on the PSU side is irrelevant. The 3 PCIe plugs are rated to handle 150W each. On the PSU side, despite looking similar to PCIe, the plugs can handle 300W each. Also you can't brick a component by not providing enough power to it. Worst case scenario it will just shutdown. More likely in the event that there isn't enough power reaching it is that it's unstable. But there won't be any lasting damage (not that this is relevant since the Type4 connector can provide more than enough power to the 5080, but this is just for your personal info).
I apologize, are you sure the RM850 does not have three 8 pin PCIe connections? Looking at the documentation, it looks like it has three, its just they are not all in the same place. two are near each other, and the third is near the some of the SATA/Peripheral cable connections. With the price of GPUs, I would not risk trying to run it with only two connections when the cable that the GPU comes with has three.
You can, but that's not ideal. Corsair will sell you replacement cables if you can't find the third PCIe cable, and that would be ideal. You could also look for sleeved cable kits for that PSU, Cablemod makes them and they run about $15 for a nice one. Again, I would go with a full set of cables for a GPU that expensive.
