Yeah was looking today and a polywood folding chair is averaging $400+ on Amazon and other retailers.

We bought a couple of sets from Lowes 10+ years ago and we have been happy with them. I do regret not springing for the sunbrella cushions.

Target the last few years have had plastic Adirondack chairs with fold out cup and phone holders on one arm. They were $30 and we grabbed one and enjoyed it. We have family over often and run out of sitting space out there, so when they went clearance for $20 we picked up 7 more. We just keep a stack of them on the pool deck and pull as needed. Its been 5 years, some sitting in full FL sun all the time and holding up just fine without fading either. Also if your space is well covered, consider sectional or similar patio sets and watch the clearance sales. Lowes has one similar to what I picked up 6 years ago. Its marked down from $1021.46 to $699.99 for a few more days. Soon though it will hit 50% as the seasons change. We picked ours up in the "off season" and it was one of our better purchases for the house. I bought some "polywood" type Adirondack chairs, tables, and footrests on Amazon like 3-4 years ago and they have held up surprisingly well for an Amazon purchase. Probably spent like $500 on all of it but none of it blows away. I can find the brand link if you want. I don't have a normal table & chair dining set though so can't help there.

Costco for a good value. City Home if you are in the Southeast. Macy's furniture for end of season clearances can have good values. Sunbrella fabrics - especially if you wash them regularly, they will hold up. then pick good materials -- metal over wood.

Macy's has good prices on polywood type Adirondack chairs. I just looked up their current prices and prices are much more expensive. But they are high quality and have absolutely no issues.

20... 22 years ago we bought a bunch of Martha Stewart patio furniture at Kmart. My parents still have it all (we had to make choices when we moved north). It's lived in the Sierra starting at Lake Tahoe, the foothills, and has ended up in the Mojave desert and it's still comfortable and working quite well. Looks rough, but come on, over two decades? I wish we'd brought it north with us honestly.

Find old wrought iron furniture on marketplace, hit it with paint stripper and steelwool. Fresh spray paint. New cushions from anywhere. Ta da. That will outlive you, your children, and their children with the occasional new paint

Costco for great value. Got our outdoor lounge set from them a few years ago. Love it still.

Been searching for home furniture on FB marketplace and the biggest discounts (and large inventory) of like new merch appear to be couches and patio furniture. I guess because they are fairly hard to move without a truck and I live in a city where pickups are not as common.
