Of course there's a possibility you might get banned. Cloud storage costs money and you're trying to use unlimited of it for free.

Imagine he/she uses a alt account and uploads all of his photos, and after some time Google bans his account and deletes all stored files from their server (which won't likely happen), then what's the purpose of using alternative account? He/She will eventually lose all of the photos & videos.

The patch makes Google Photos think you have a Pixel 1, which came with unlimited storage.

The purpose is not to lose access to your Gmail and any other services you have associated with your main account.

Thank you. This was pretty close to what I thought. I just didn't know about the pixel part. But there is a nuance to that. I remember hearing that newer Pixels 6+ were losing unlimited photo storage. I definitely see why some would be cautious. I wouldn't want to risk my account. The Pixel1 hack doesn't allow for using saver mode. Lot's of aspects to consider. Thank you KnifeFed and TheSpixxyQ. I appreciate your answers.

Isn't the unlimited storage a server side thing and not something patch-able? I may be mistaken but I doubt someone as aggressive as Google would leave unlimited storage on the app side of things. Anyway just curious. Thanks.

It tricks their servers into thinking you have a Pixel phone, and pixel owners have unlimited storage or something. If they at some point suddenly change their spoof checking methods, ban.

If you're worried about the authenticity of patching unlimited storage, I'd suggest using an alternate account instead of your main account. Also, check out r/morpheapp. I've seen this asked there a few times.

You can trick google but there is no guarantee that trick will work forever, and if google knows you have been abusing its service without paying it your accounts and data will be gone with no appeal. Not worth it.

Is this sarcasm

Do a Google take out of all your photos now if you don't want to loose them.

Use Yandex.Disk instead. They have unlimited photos storage in the free plan by default, and even the smallest subscription plan enables the unlimited video storage as well.

It not exist Cloud storage basically you use other people computer to store your things. The owner of the computer will know if someone put something without permission

If you're trying to scam the system, I guess your photos don't really mean that much to you.
