I’m in the market for a new to me used vehicle. After some research, the Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 or Ram 1500 with the 5.7 are the vehicles that fit my needs/wants the best. Unfortunately, most of the trucks that are in a comfortable price range have about 80-130k miles on them. I’m a little hesitant buying a truck with that high of mileage, but from what I read, that’s nothing for some of these Tundras. There is a Tundra that I’ve had my eyes on, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s worth the money, or I need to expand my me search more. here is the tundra. Would it be dumb to buy a truck like this or any other Tundra with 100k miles??? There’s a few Ram 1500 with about 90k near me in the low 30s. I tend to keep my vehicles until the wheels fall off and do all my own maintenance, so thought about getting a diesel truck as there are a ton available in my area. But I have never owned or maintained a diesel truck.

That price is ridiculous compared to what else you can get for the same price or less. Also that dealer seems shady. They claim they’re giving you $6k in savings but the price is only discounted $3400. But then there’s a couple grand in fees added back on? I’d walk away.

Towing a boat, kayak, bikes, tools and supplies for work, and highway driving…. I have an old Honda accord as my grocery getter.
Just be aware of how thirsty the V8 Tundra is. You will be lucky to average 14mpg.

Why would you buy those trucks? Do you pull anything? A boat? Do you carry ladders for work? If this is for going to Costco... You can buy a new car for $29k instead of a 7 year old mystery truck.
Used Tundra will be more money . They're gathering a premium price lately.
Got a 3008 tundra with 130,000 miles. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere. I paid $13,900
Toyota all the way. Ram is just a problem waiting to happen.
Just paid 26k for my 2014 tundra with 115k sr5 but nice interior center console ect. Also one owner truck az. They fetch a premium. My 2012 went to 300k no problem. Great trucks.
The premium you pay for the Tundra over the Ram will be well worth it.
Yeah, the last gen Tundras have be exploding in value since the new ones have been having alot of engine issues.
