Hi everyone, I have a 2012 Honda Accord 2.0 i-VTEC with the R20A3 engine and I’m trying to identify the metallic ticking/clicking noise you can hear in the video. The valve clearances have recently been adjusted, but the noise is still present. It seems to follow engine RPM and sounds like a distinct metallic tick rather than the normal injector noise. Has anyone with an R20A/R20A3 experienced a similar sound? Could it be related to the valve train/rocker arms, camshaft, timing chain/tensioner, injectors, or something else? I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who has had the same noise and actually found the cause.
