Firebase started charging 0.07$ for using otp service

Never happen before! Can anyone suggest any cheaper option for authentication otp service enabled in existing project? Firebase started charging very high and deducted money without noticing prior that per authentication 0.07$ per auth... which means 6.67 INR.... which is really disappointed!! Looking for stronger recommandation..!
