I spent almost 5 months to build an all-in-one subtitle editor for Mac

Problem: Most of the products for subtitle editing are separated. Usually, you have to use a transcription tool to get the subtitles, use another tool to translate them, and then transfer to another tool to burn subtitles. I am tired and I build an all-in-one solution. I make technical training videos for my company. I’m always looking for tools to help me be more efficient and look forward to trying this. You may already have this feature, but the ability scrub using the JKL keys (J rewind, K to pause, L to fast forward) would be helpful. Tapping in J and L speeds up their respective functions.

I like watching foreign language videos to help with health and nutrition. Well done for making this app. I would love to use it to show my friends short clips with subs. I would like to have notes added to various translations.
That's a very interesting idea! Are you looking for a way to add private annotations for your own study, or are you planning to export these notes as a summary document (like a PDF or Markdown file) later? I'd love to understand your workflow better so I can build this feature exactly the way you need it! I've actually had many users approach me recently asking for help with subtitle extraction (both hardcoded and via speech recognition). It seems the 'Learning' use case is huge, and your suggestion hits right on that. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
I edit screen recordings and walkthrough videos for product demos. Feature I’d kill for: speaker/scene-aware subtitle splitting so it doesn’t merge two different on-screen sections into one block.
This is a very advanced feature that I have thought about before! But it may not be implemented quickly.

quick 5 minutes test using Basic, but it doesn't seem to detect the spaces between words very well. paid version any different?
Are you referring to OCR (extract hardcoded subtitles) or speech recognition? The recognition quality is the same in both versions.

How well does it do in scenes where there are multiple speakers?
GeekLink can handles the accuracy of multiple voices exceptionally well—it captures everything said in the scene. Specific Speaker Diarization (tagging Speaker A vs. Speaker B ) is not in the current Beta. It’s one of the top items on our roadmap for the Pro version.
Sounds great. I would use it to check my own translations of video content, and rewatch with subtitles applied and without for training and shadowing. Good luck with your app.

This sounds amazing. I often come across movies without subtitles for my language (Slovenian). This looks like something I’d very much like to try out.
I have tested that the recognition performance of some niche languages (such as Thai) is not as good as that of popular languages (English, German) (you can see the language recognition accuracy on this page) https://geeklink.dev/use-cases/whisper-accuracy-by-language/ ) Currently, only 14 languages are supported. Since you need it, I will add more languages in the next version (0.1.22)
