【Coin Bar】I made my macOS crypto menu bar app free this week

Comparison: Most crypto trackers like CoinStats or CoinMarketCap are either mobile-focused or full dashboard-style tools. Coin Bar focuses on a lightweight macOS menu bar experience with instant access and minimal friction. Pricing: Normally paid, but currently free for one week (until May 24) to celebrate my wedding anniversary 💛 Would love any feedback or feature ideas!

Thanks mate! appreciate it Yeah, mostly crypto for now (BTC, ETH, top coins + alerts).Trying to keep it super lightweight in the menu bar, not a full dashboard. If people want other stuff (stocks / forex etc), I might expand it later Curious—what kind of assets would you personally want to track on the menu bar?
well, I'd put some currency exchange tracker to see realtime value of EURUSD for example etc but if it's only for crypto then I'm not target audience:)

I’ve updated the data collection details. The app only collects basic usage information such as app version, operating system, language, and crash logs. No personally identifiable data (e.g., Apple ID) is collected.
Something weird going on when clicking Install. It just hang there.
This sometimes happens with App Store downloads, not really on the app side. Try canceling and re-installing once, it usually fixes it

This is actually a pretty smart use case for the menu bar. Most crypto apps feel insanely bloated but quick glanceable info + Spotlight integration makes a ton of sense on macOS. The Liquid Glass styling looks clean too 👀 Would be cool if you added alert automations like notify me when BTC/ETH crosses a target price without opening the app.
