Large amount of AI/ Bot replies here

Well, not necessarily everyone is a robot, but they sound like robots because people who don't speak English use "LLMs" to translate their texts into English (for example, me, since I speak Spanish) and many times the translation reads robotically… unfortunately 🤓

Sadly its everywhere not just on reddit. Kinda sad cause it really makes it feel like dead internet.

That's true, but these app dev subreddits are overrun. Alot of newbie devs that need to get a certain amount of local karma to post their app, so they use AI to help them post comments on other projects to boost their ranking.

Pretty hard to catch all of these without a huge number of false positives. But if verifiable astroturfing is observed, absolutely report it.

it’s gotten super obvious lately, same tone, same “helpful” phrasing every time. feels less like real discussion and more like scripted engagement loops. kinda kills the vibe of finding genuine takes here

75% of Reddit users are just bots in general.

They do seem easy to spot but what would be the reason for them? Building up karma? Couldn’t you just downvote the obvious ones? Or is there some other objective? I seem to get a lot of DM spam, would that be related?

Nowadays I have become pretty good at spotting them. I pretty much assume a comment is generated if it doesn't mention a specific feature or pain point. Real ones almost always have some specific messy detail that feels genuine.
