Has anyone actually figured out Clicky?
Has anyone tried Clicky? I find it both useful and confusing at the same time. I saw Farza (the Buildspace guy) posting about it on Twitter and decided to try it out. The idea is cool. It’s a little AI buddy that follows your cursor around and can see your screen when you activate it with Ctrl+Option. It runs on Claude under the hood and it’s open source. In theory it makes a lot of sense. You’re stuck in an app, you hit the shortcut, it sees what you’re looking at and helps you out. I’ve seen people say it’s great for learning new software like DaVinci Resolve or Blender. But in practice I’m struggling to figure out when to actually use it. Most of the time I just forget it’s there. And when I do remember, I’m not always sure what to ask. It feels like one of those tools where you need to already know what you don’t know, if that makes sense. There’s also very little discussion about it online, which makes it harder to figure out if I’m just using it wrong or if other people feel the same way. So I wanted to ask here. Has anyone been using Clicky regularly? What are you actually using it for? I want to like it more than I do right now.

Why all the extra background cacophony? I had to stop the video three times because I swear I heard someone in the same room as me say something or my child was talking in another room. Is there a reason for all that extra noise during the video?
The idea is that instead of being a polished studio demo for some enterprise app, its something anyone can use easily, even sitting on a park bench with a MacBook.

I’d be curious whether it would actually go through with something like that or pause and ask for confirmation, especially for anything involving financial transactions or passwords.
It's neat. There's a lot to love about as a piece of conceptual UI, and I actually used it with pretty great success to learn Blender. I have some critiques about it including the fact that it's a little bit too minimal as a UX. Reflexive AI use is a you problem, though — if you keep forgetting to use a tool that's literally following your cursor, that's just habit-forming Clicky cannot teach you.
Yeah, but apart from learning how to use apps, I'm struggling to see use cases and thought I'd look here for people to share theirs.

I think it's a very cool idea and just watching it work takes me by surprise and definitely has that wow factor I haven't felt in a while

The UI and overall experience are truly exceptional, they’ve done a great job making everything feel seamless. I can see it's a powerful tool that fits naturally into whatever I’m working on, and has a ton of potential. But I stopped using it after three days only because the little “clicky” buddy following me around started to feel like it was recording my every move, which raised some privacy concerns for me. But still love the concept and the delivery.

Looks good. I feel the only way to one-up Clicky is to design something that actually feels native, like the Sky app was supposed to before it got acquired by OpenAI.
