LicenseManagerPro – Keep all your software licenses organized in one place
Hey r/macapps! I'm an indie developer and wanted to share my app LicenseManagerPro – a native Mac & iPad app for managing all your software licenses, product keys and subscriptions. If you're like me, you've got licenses scattered across emails, notes, and random text files. LicenseManagerPro puts everything in one clean, fast interface. What it does: Store all your licenses – serial keys, expiration dates, purchase info – in one place Organize with custom categories and colors (developer tools, creative software, subscriptions, etc.) Auto app icons – on Mac, the app icon is automatically assigned to a license if the software is installed on your system Attach invoices, receipts or certificates directly to each license entry Powerful search – find any license instantly by name, category or any field Import/export via CSV or JSON – easy backup and migration BundleHunt & KeyKeeper import – import your existing license files directly, no manual re-entry Expiration alerts – get notified before your licenses or maintenance contracts expire Auto-backup with configurable intervals and retention 100% local & private – all data stays on your device, no cloud, no external servers iCloud Sync between Mac and iPad Available in 10 languages – English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Swedish and Chinese Available for Mac and iPad with the same familiar interface Perfect for developers tracking IDE licenses, cloud services and API keys, creative professionals managing Adobe/Affinity/Pixelmator licenses, or anyone who just wants to stop losing their serial numbers! There are other license managers out there like KeyKeeper ($19.99, Mac only), Serial Island (Mac only), and License Vault ($9.99, Mac only). Compared to these, LicenseManagerPro is the only one that runs natively on both Mac and iPad with iCloud sync between them. It also offers expiration alerts, automatic app icons, auto-backup, and support for 10 languages — all at the lowest price point, with a free version to try before you buy. No subscription, ever. Free to try – add up to 3 licenses for free, then unlock the full version for a one-time purchase of $8.99. No subscription, ever. How does it compare with License Store which was also just promoted this week?
I thought it was a repost tbh
lol same
Was going to ask the exact same thing License Store vs LicenseManagerPro - FIGHT
License Store is excellent. Just bought it this week. I suggested a few improvements to the developer (like a license copy button) and hope he implements them.
Nice looking app, and I'm going to give it a try. By any chance, do you have a CSV template I could use, for importing?
What licensing app are you using right now? I can definitely send you a template.
Wtf
FINALLY, iCloud Sync!!! Yay!!!
i promise
I find the license manager actually ok but the operation is not very intuitive. If, for example, you import many licenses like me from e.g. Bundelhunt and want to have many similar licenses in a category, you have to do it awkwardly with each license individually, which is atypical for Apple App. You can not mark several licenses and simply drag them into a category by mouse, no, as mentioned, you have to click on each license individually and set the category there, which is already at least 3 clicks. Would be great if you could do that. Also the support over Email not good. Write 3 mails and get only one answer for the first mail.
What's your problem? Just because I didn't reply within 6 hours, are you implying that I don't provide good support?
ohh nice ,awesome
Thank you!
You can only add one attachment. Can you remove this limit? It'd be nice to add the email + invoice, and whatever else someone might want to add. It should be a minimum of 3 files allowed, imo. Probs 5, or just no limit tbh. Don't know why there's a limit Also, it says manufacturer, instead of developer? kinda odd wording. The currency is also not working right. I set it to USD and typed $14.99. It rounded up to $150.00 (yeah... not $15, it did $150...) fix this please. It should allow for cents and not round up, and it should not bump 15 to 150... it seems it 10x whatever you type in. The attachment also saves but doesn't allow for preview???? You have to save it to a folder to open it, it seems. That makes no sense.
You can now create custom fields, including ones for attachments. You can also click on these attachments to get a preview. Included in version 4.2.0.
Looks really cool! Will try it tonight! :)
Have fun, and let me know if you have any questions.
I just use my password manager foe this.
Same here
I have been using this software for a long time, and I love it; it is very clean and pragmatic. I even left a review on the Mac App Store, which is something I rarely do.
I just bought License Store a few days ago, which is similar to this and a little cheaper in price.
I use Uplock for this, and also bashing another app is not a good way to sell yours imo
I just use an Obsidian note with a Markdown table for this.
Hey, app looks good but what does it really add for value over a simple password manager (this is how I store my licenses atm) I guess expire notifications is nice to have but it's also just another place to store stuff.
