I have been running a wellness product e-com for 5 years now. Almost 40% of my purchases remain abandoned carts. And no amount of UX work has helped. I have heard there are AI tools that can recover revenue from abandoned carts on repeat calling clients in their language (this has worked for me greatly, but does not scale as I do it manually). I am looking for something that: - Integrates with Shopify - Brings good results - Has some good feedback from the community What would you recommend?

How has it worked so far? I guess it wouldn't be a game-changer but really an extra if everything else is well-built Feedback would be appreciated mate!

Honestly, its not the AI that makes the difference - its the core funnel strategy. How much you understand your customer behaviour and attend them in real-time is what drives them through checkout. I have had my share of experience with such tools until I landed on one SaaS that does this for me. Not the reminders, but attending the shoppers real-time.

Please, for the love of god, AI is not there yet to be smart enough to solve this problem of yours. High abandoned carts can be solved with some simple automations in your system. Set up an abandoned cart automation in your Shopify email if you don't have an email marketing platform (like Klaviyo) yet. Shopify emails work fine for this until you get big. Now, setting up an abandoned cart flow isn't as easy as you'd like to think. You will find templates for it within Shopify. But come on, don't just use those. Make them human. Human in terms of the copy, the images, the design and text hierarchy. Have 2-3 emails in that flow that don't just throw a discount in people's faces but actually address their possible hesitations. Time these flows to go out at the time the cart was abandoned. Have other flows that interact with people based on their behaviour. Like site flow. You can even add - if it makes sense for your business - other outreach methods, like SMS (but I'm always careful with these because I find them intrusive).

40% abandoned carts is rough but not unusual. The real unlock with AI or any tool isn’t just the initial reach out-it’s the timing and personalizing what happens after that first nudge. When you’re doing calls yourself, you’re likely tapping into a mix of empathy and urgency that automated workflows struggle with. Scaling that authentically is the challenge. A lot of e-com brands find the best lever isn’t the product page or checkout UX but how abandoned carts get followed up: retry timing, messaging cadence, even fallback options if one channel misses. Are you mostly seeing these abandonments from new visitors or repeat customers? That changes the tactic quite a bit. I just messaged you to tell you more.
