Working with a mid tier fashion brand that pulls in serious volume, think thousands of daily visitors during drops. They want to let customers customize sneakers or jackets with colors, materials, logos, all that. But the current setup with basic variants is falling apart under load, pages lag, and cart abandonment spikes when options get complex. We are talking enterprise level scale here, not some small shop. Need something that renders fast, integrates cleanly with their custom backend, and does not crash during peak sales. Static images are not enough anymore for this kind of personalization. Has anyone implemented a good 3D product configurator for a big fashion website that actually holds up? What worked for performance and keeping customers engaged without them bouncing?

For high traffic you need something enterprise ready with good caching and CDN support. We looked at a few but integration with existing inventory was the dealbreaker for most. What platform is the site on? Start by testing load times in a staging environment with real traffic simulation if you can.
for high traffic fashion drops id prioritize configurators with edge-side rendering like threekit or zakeke (if you havent checked em) they cache heavy 3D assets globally so pages dont choke. test integrations with loadforge first bc half these tools claim enterprise but crumble without custom backend tweaks, spikes your abandonment thru the roof otherwise
