How to connect Shopify to Meta catalog?
Hello, Is there a free way just to connect Shopify to Meta catalog without anything else, no matter the number of products. I tried with the official Facebook & Instagram plugin, but that comes with tracking, which I don't want. Thanks.

the official sales channel app is the most prominent way most merchants connect shopify to meta catalog. however, as you are yourself mentioning that you don't want the tracking from the facebook & instagram app, you might need to look at some other app. example, nabu facebook & instagram app. it is just for facebook product feed optimization and can accurately sync your product data to meta commerce manager. and the app starts for free (which was also one of your key requirements.)
I figured out how to cnnect the official app to the Meta catalog without doing tracking. Basically you just need to edit the data permissions in the app.
install the Facebook & Instagram app in your Shopify admin, connecting your Meta business account, setting up data sharing (pixel), and enabling product syncing Step-by-Step Instructions - Install the App: In your Shopify Admin, go to Settings > Sales channels - Add Sales Channel: Click Add channel or Add app. - Start Setup: Open the app and click Start setup on the Facebook & Instagram feature. - Connect Assets: -Connect Account: Sign in to your personal Facebook account. -Meta Business Portfolio: Select the Business Manager that owns your page and catalog. -Connect Page: Link your Facebook Page and Instagram Account. - Data Sharing: Select your desired tracking level (Maximum is recommended for ad optimization). - Create Pixel: Choose or create a new Meta Pixelto track customer behavior. - Agree & Finish: Accept the terms and conditions and click Finish setup. Shopify Help Center - Verify Catalog: The setup automatically creates a product catalog. You can verify this in Meta Commerce Manager under Data Sources
