Inventory Tracking Issues with multiple Warehouse locations

I primarily sell in the US and UK currently. I have a 3PL with multiple global warehouses. I currently have my inventory split over two warehouses to optimize shipping speeds/costs. I currently fulfill all US orders from Warehouse A, and all UK orders from Warehouse B. I have a shipping rule in my 3PL platform that any orders with a US/UK address are fulfilled from the appropriate location, and it works without issue. However, I can't seem to set this up correctly in Shopify. All orders are being assigned to Warehouse A in Shopify, which is incorrectly reducing the Shopify inventory count, making Warehouse A's inventory count appear low, and Warehouse B's appear high when, in reality, they are about even (which is what I see on the backend of my 3PL portal). How do I set this up correctly in Shopify so that any order from Location A, is assigned to Warehouse A, and any order from Location B, is assigned to Warehouse B?

This is a Shopify fulfillment priority issue. Go to Settings → Shipping and delivery → edit your shipping profile. You can set fulfillment priority by location there. Also check Settings → Locations and make sure both warehouses are set up correctly with the right priority order. Shopify assigns fulfillment based on the priority list, not the customer's shipping address by default — you need to configure it manually or use an app like ShipHero that handles location-based routing.
