[QUESTION] How do you save "that exact moment" in a video or podcast?

Hello folks, you know that feeling, a professor says something important 18 minutes into a 90minute lecture, and you either scramble to write it down or just, but lose it forever. I'am trying to get better at this. Right now I just pause and type the timestamp manually into my notes, which is kind of annoying. Curious how other people handle this, do you use a specific tool, a browser trick, a note-taking method? Or do you just rewatch everything and hope for the best?

Write the approximate timestamp. If it's at 43:25 write down 43.00. Everything does not need it's own tool.
Snipd is great. Been using it for well over a year with Readwise and Obsidian. Only thing that sucks is it's kinda spendy.
Speedy and I really am not crazy about their interface. Feels convoluted at times. Wish there was a simpler version. But does the job fairly well

For lectures I do the lazy version of what dapper_pom said. I just jot the rough minute (like "43, the part about X") and move on, then clean it up later. Trying to catch the exact second in the moment always broke my focus more than it was worth. For podcasts on the go, Snipd is honestly the move (saw someone mention it above). Sometimes I just send myself a quick voice memo saying "go back to minute 43" since I can't really type while walking. Honestly the thing that helped me most wasn't a better tool. It was lowering the bar to "good enough to find it again later" instead of trying for a perfect capture.
Honestly the manual timestamp thing is where most people give up. The friction's just high enough that you skip it and then kick yourself later. What sometimes works is keeping a note open next to the video and dropping the timestamp plus two or three words the second something lands, even mid-sentence. Don't write the whole thought out, just enough to find it again later. If you try to capture all of it live you miss whatever they say next anyway.
Screen shot for the time stamp.
Was just looking for this for podcasts, usually listen on bike rides and have been listening to content important for some research. Ran into Snipd app to do that and it syncs into my Obsidian vault. Would love to learn other ways too
