Mirror Mac to iPhone app?
I'm looking for an app that will mirror my Mac screen to my iPhone. I've managed to find this one called Beam, however I can't see any reviews on Reddit or the App Store. Has anyone used this or are other people using a different app?

For Mac to iPhone mirroring, Luna Display and Duet Display are the most established options. Luna is hardware-based (dongle) which gives better performance, Duet is software-only. If you just need to view your Mac screen on iPhone without interaction, iOS 18 added native mirroring via Control Center that works well for basic use cases. Haven't used Beam specifically so can't speak to that one.
never heard of beam, but jump desktop and screens 5 both do remote mac access from iphone and have years of reviews behind them if you want something with an actual track record
Look at NDI - https://ndi.video This is an API and they have some free reference apps that you can use.

Haven’t used Beam personally, but I’d probably judge apps in this category on three things first: latency, whether audio mirrors cleanly too, and how reliable the connection is on the same Wi‑Fi. If you end up trying it, I’d be really curious how it feels on those three because that’s usually what makes or breaks screen-mirroring apps for me.
Jump Desk? VNC? astropad workbench?
For what it's worth, I use RealVNC for many many things, including this use case.
I use Rustdesk. It’s FOSS and with ability to scale to 720p makes it easier to use on phone.
Haven't used Beam but zero reviews on both the App Store and Reddit is a red flag for anything that needs screen recording permissions. I'd skip it. Screens by Edovia is the most polished option — it's a VNC client that connects to your Mac's built-in screen sharing and works surprisingly well on iPhone despite the small screen. Zoom and pan around, and it feels native. Jump Desktop also handles Mac-to-iPhone and is rock solid, though it's more known for the reverse direction (iPhone to Mac). Both have actual reviews and active developers. If you just need quick access to files or a single window rather than the full desktop, Apple's own Screen Sharing (built into macOS) plus the Files app on iPhone might cover it without a third-party app at all.
