Hey all, Trying to find an app (or combo of apps) that does something pretty specific and I’m not sure of the right term for it. After someone buys, I want to prompt them to connect/authenticate their social accounts (IG, TikTok, etc.) so we can see their actual follower count/ engagement rate etc not self-reported. Based on that, they’d unlock a reward: a discount, a free gift, or an invite to become a brand partner/affiliate. The logic is that these people are already customers, so they’re way warmer than cold affiliate recruits. And by verifying followings, I can automatically spot the VIPs/influencers hiding in my existing customer base instead of guessing. Does anything like this exist? I’ve looked at the usual affiliate/referral apps but most rely on self-reported numbers or don’t do the social auth piece. Open to stacking a couple tools if needed. I know of OuterSignal but this seems to be 3rd party data be not submitted by the influencer/ customer themselves. I’ve previously posted about this but my post was pretty half arsed tbh. Thought I’d add more context! Appreciate any pointers 🙏

Yeah I think there is definitely value there to be had. If I can’t find one I might just get a a dev to create it! Lol I think even just a dashboard with follower count next to customer name / order value etc would be useful for me. Just that extra bit of insight.

Interesting idea. I did some check for you. IG now only returns followers count for creators account. So you can only reliably verify the handler and look at followers yourself unless it's creator account. But I think more importantly, is to separate purchases and affiliates. You are trying to do too much in the post-purchase flow. I would recommend separating potential affiliates into a new flow. A different page where they sign-up or apply to be affiliate, that's where the social auth should go. Part of the application process, but definitely off the post-purchase flow. Just be aware that the takeup rate for ppl willing to connect to their social accounts will be much much lower than you might expect. Expect less than 5%-10%. There's a big difference between connecting to socials and sharing all metrics with you VS giving your handler. Normal ppl prob won't take that up, and that is before they even know they get to earn anything from your business as an affiliate.

Claude says there's no app for this, but it can create one.
