Here is the comment, let me know what you think about it and if you need more to be explained: The simplest yet the most difficult to find on market. I’ve never seen an app that’ll let you chose what photos are to keep and what to delete like tinder or similar that doesn’t weight less than 200MB. If I need to delete photos, maybe it’s because I don’t have enough space right? Second: existing apps forget photos you have already seen, it has to be fixed. Third: don’t just divide groups of photos based on years or months, I want maybe just to select photos of when I was on a specific place or a vacation that I have done. The application, and this is something I’ve never seen ever in my life, must also be able to compress videos by lowering some specs or changing the compression format, but to keep all the metadata, it can happen that someone forget to remove 4K on his phone and then he finds himself with 200MB for a 20s video vs 11 if it was in 1080p. The procedure to change it now is way too long and difficult for the average user. To monetise on it we don’t want 30s ads to pop up, you could just put every idk 10 photos a static or anyway skippable ad, in a session a person would look into 60 to 100 or more photos so you would receive revenue for 5 to 10 or more instant ads (pretty low revenue, but sum up for every person).

You can already choose what photos to delete. You go through them and delete them. You can even find them by location and date. Unless you mean like a duplicate photo cleaner and there’s loads of those.
Nope, I’m talking about an app that lets you decide whether to keep or delete a photo just by swiping left or right, but that’ll sort out groups in a more intelligent way. Looking into my photo gallery is boring and slower, I need to be able to see all the photos in big format and then decide to delete or keep them, without every time proceed with the 2 confirmation buttons, but just at the end for all the photos and videos that I picked
Thank you, I can assure you that finding a video compressor that keeps metadata is nearly impossible on the market. It’s the toughest thing in this case, but it’s possible. I use iOS and I don’t mean only based on location, I need the app to show a folder like “your trip to …” and then let me pick all the photos I wanna delete from that trip, this is pretty useful. Same as like “birthday” or others, I don’t know if an app can access all of these information specifically on iOS, but it would be simpler just to consult photos app’s subdivision and photos pick, don’t you think? About the app itself, at the beginning I wouldn’t put it to be paid, I’d just place, as I said, an ad every 10 photos, ad that you can skip by just sliding to the left or right (both would work in this case). In a normal session a person would review at least 100 photos, so that would make 9 ads to be viewed (I think that most of them would get bored even after 200 to 300 photos). That would create a passive income and a dependence on the app that is much better over time than just let someone pay 2,99 to install it. The video compression thing have to have a different folder where you can select all of the videos by their resolution, then select the final resolution and also change the codec and finally start the process. You can put both advanced settings and base ones more understandable by basic users to let them decide how much they wanna reduce space occupied by those files.
There are 100s of apps like that.
Sure, contact me when you want! At the beginning I wouldn’t put the one-time purchase option, seeing “in-App Purchases” may keep some people from installing it because they would think that there are a lot of ads. Anyway, none of those apps consider also the compression thing, literally zero, I’ve never seen one that let me compress photos into other lighter formats (on iOS the optimal ting would be compressing every video with H.265 and every photo into HEIC format). There’s too much competition to put a price at the install, it would work better an adv monetisation with maybe some premium features like video compression

You could but this isn't the most user-friendly solution. The op knows these apps are out there but it seems they are lacking in specific features or UX.

Thank you! The compression thing is unfortunately not just an idea, I found myself to deal with videos I recorded in the past in 4K because I was thinking that it would be cool to film in super high resolution for the future some stupid things I used to film 6 years ago
So its a *slightly* quicker way to do what can already be done? Not sure people will pay much for that
I might work on something like this in the future if you’re open to staying in contact. I am pretty busy and have a full-time job, am a student, as well as have additional projects and relationships (all of which get crammed into my 2 day weekend lol). But it seems easy enough if I could get a development environment set up for ios (I only have done android dev before lol). I’ve seen a ton of apps like this, but I guess many don’t consider the storage space. I would want to maybe have one ad per session with an IAP to remove ads for like $0.99.
There is like 10 apps minimum, exactly like that, posted in the last month alone in the subs in subscribed too

I've never used these apps myself, but I think it's much more likely for one of the devs from this space to see this and add it as a feature. The image compression is a good idea! Hopefully you don't need to wait for someone to create a new app entirely to get the UX you're looking for.
Just setup IFTTT to upload every picture taken on your phone to say google drive or dropbox. And then setup a shortcut (ios) to delete photos that are x days old etc. Other than that there are many apps that let you swipe left/right for what you are saying. Either you know such an app exists and you are trying to guage if people know about it or you really dont know but there are apps that do exactly that. I saw numerous ads about this in the past but would never use such an app personally because I don’t trust sharing my pictures with them for privacy purposes.
