What's the best leave management software that doesn't need a coding background to set up?

I work at a French company and tracking team time off has become a nightmare since we added ten people to our engineering office last month. We built a shared spreadsheet as a stopgap, and someone broke all the formulas within a day of getting it. I looked at some open source trackers too, but they feel way too complicated to set up for what we actually need, is there something simpler out there?

I am not aware of any , In my previous jobs so far I have 4 to 5 different software, nothing was best. The limitations typically were around customizing regional Policies , flexible leave plans, tracking overtime , compensatory off etc. It may have all features at one place. Something that allows to configure rules is better and that set up . As you want it with non coding people , I will not suggest to go with Github search. You may look for someone to develop a custom one at lower cost.
For a team at this stage, I would avoid building anything custom unless your leave rules are genuinely unusual. A straightforward hosted leave-management product will normally be cheaper, faster, and easier for HR or an office manager to maintain. Before choosing one, I’d make a short checklist of the things that tend to cause trouble later: French public holidays and location-specific calendars; accrual rules and carryover; different policies for different employee groups; manager approvals and delegation; part-time employees; calendar integration; payroll or HR-system export; an audit trail showing who changed or approved what; GDPR, data hosting, and account-access controls. The best test is not the feature page. Ask whoever will administer it to create a policy, add an employee, submit leave, change an entitlement, approve the request, and export the result during the trial. If that workflow is confusing, it will not improve after rollout. Custom software becomes reasonable when several existing tools fail because of company-specific policies or integrations. Until then, I’d keep the solution boring and maintainable.
