What document management app do you use?
Most reddit discussions on this issue revolve around self hosting paperless-ngx. Are there any SaaS document managers with good search? I use google drive ATM and HATE it.

I use Microsoft 365 and i never complained
Never had a need for those types of things. Folder organization and file name keywords cover me. I also recommend dates in filenames as that can be a huge help when creation dates get modified sometime. Not the answer you are looking for, but the added benefit is that I can use any operating system without being locked into some type of program that goes away, becomes locked or limits me to one OS type.
Out of curiosity, what specifically do you hate about Drive's search? Is it the lack of full text search inside files, no OCR on scans, weak tagging and filtering, or just that the results are noisy and you cannot trust that you found everything? I ask because I am actually building a document management tool right now, and getting search and organization right is the whole reason I started. So I would genuinely love to hear what has frustrated you and what would make you switch. What does "good search" look like for you in practice, and is this for personal use or a team? If you are open to it, feel free to shoot me a DM and I would be happy to compare notes. Not trying to pitch anything, I am just after real feedback from people who actually live in this stuff.
