Looking for a strong AI email assistant to help triage, organize, and file emails without missing important messages or misfiling them. I've already tried tools like Fyxer, SanBox, and Cora. Right now I'm using both Superhuman and Shortwave because they handle filing differently, and that combination is the only way I currently feel confident I'm not losing anything important. I'm looking for something more reliable that can handle prioritization, auto-archiving, and inbox organization with minimal manual oversight. Any recommendations that actually work well in practice?

I would caution letting AI have full control of your email. It is great, but all it takes is one important message being missed for it to not be worth it.
That's exactly where I landed. I stopped looking for an assistant that could automate everything and focused on one that helps me triage, surface important emails, and keep follow-ups organized. I still make the final call on anything important, but it removes a lot of repetitive inbox management.
That sounds much closer to what I want. I'm not trying to hand over my inbox completely, I just want something that reduces the busywork without making me worry that important messages are getting buried.
I went through a lot of the same tools before settling on something. The biggest lesson was that categorizing emails is relatively easy. Building enough confidence to let an assistant archive or prioritize messages without constantly checking behind it is much harder.
I would be careful about giving any assistant full auto-archive authority until it has proven itself on a narrow slice of mail. The setup that has worked best for me is: split the problem by mail type, keep human review for account/security/client messages, and only automate low-risk categories like receipts, newsletters, and routine updates. For any tool you test, I would check three things: can you see exactly why it categorized a message, can you undo a whole batch easily, and can you run it in review-only mode before it starts filing things for you. Disclosure: I work on MiniLetter app, which is more focused on separating and reading newsletters than general inbox triage. If newsletters are part of what is cluttering your inbox, a dedicated newsletter lane can help, but for important work/personal mail I would still keep conservative rules and manual review until the tool earns trust.
Ahh the two tools approach sounds like a struggle tbh. Have you looked at kai by morgen or spark?? Kai is context based rather than rule based so it handles the edge cases that trip up tools like sanebox, which sounds like exactly your problem. Spark is solid too for organization and prioritization, different approach but I think its worth comparing instead running two tools indefinitely lol
