Does anyone use an app to log what food you’ve eaten in a day?

Help! I’m trying to look for an app I can use to just take a photo of whatever I’m eating and just keep a record of it lol. Not for the purpose of calorie counting or losing weight or whatever, I’m just curious and want to see my eating habits. The closest I’ve found is Food Diary but I don’t like how it’s fixed to just 6 meals a day. I also don’t have a traditional schedule and it has breakfast, lunch, and dinner fixed to a specific time which is just unrealistic for me.

“MealCam” is exactly what you’re looking for.
OMG IT’S PERFECT THANK YOU SO MUCH
If you don’t want to add more apps to your phone or the apps are too busy, you could set up albums (breakfast, lunch, dinner etc) in your phone and just use those.
MyFitnessPal does this
I do on and off. I always use Cronometer when I do
I’m in recovery from an eating disorder so need an app that isn’t focused on calories/weight and my nutritionist recommended recovery record! It works very well for my needs.
I just write it all down in my phone notes each week! Sun-Fri (Sat cheat day so nothing there)
There is a great free app I’ve used in the past called NutritionIX you can take photos of your food, and or the scannable barcode on the package. It will automatically input the nutrition info for recommended serving sizes, but you can edit and adjust as necessary. It is very customizable!
Food Diary. Just a photo with a timestamp. Allows for you to put a note as well!
If I'm counting carbs, I use Carb manager. It is pretty useful. If I'm counting calories, I use MyNetDiary. They both do barcode scanning and picture taking, at least I'm pretty sure they do pictures... I've never relied on just pics because it seems like the counts would be off. But they're useful.
If you don't care about calories, you could even use a note-taking app like Notion or Google Keep. Just snap a picture, add the date, and you're done. It's simple and flexible without forcing meal schedules.
Just use the gallery?

FitBee is free and fantastic!
Guava
Dude, I totally get that! You just wanna see what you're actually eating without being locked into a rigid schedule. Maybe try a regular notes app and just add pics? Or a journaling app that lets you add media freely.
The the feast app, it focuses on coaching and holistic wellbeing rather than calorie counting and it’s the only one that uses got 5.6 to analyze every pic
Why not just use Claude?
Napkin Math is what I’m currently using!
MyFitnessPal
I really like Bevel, it gives a lot of good insights. It will do exactly as much as you need. If you just want to track food, it will do that. If you want a full on coach, it can do that too.
Try mygalley if you want to log what you are eating and trace back to history.
