I'm looking for a to-do list or task manager that will track recurring items but when that item is completed, it sets the date out the full amount from when it was completed. My issue: Most apps will let you set a date the task is due, and a recurring schedule. So if you want to "vacuum monthly", you can set the date to the first of each month, and recur monthly. So the 1st of every month, your task is due. However, say you miss it and you vacuum a few weeks late (the 29th of the month). Now when you complete the task, it will still set your next one to the 1st of the month, which is 2 days later. Doesn't make sense in these situations. Basically, whenever you complete the task, set the next due date 30 days later. That's what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Trying them all out now.
Yupp, Todoist can do that. I am using this function regularly. See relevant Todoist help page
Couldn't find that one. Apple only?
I'm pretty sure Todoist supports this. Use every! 30 days instead of every 30 days. The exclamation mark makes the next date calculate from when you complete the task, so finishing it on the 29th schedules the next one 30 days later.
You only vacuum once a month???
Ticktick does this. It has something along lines of: due x days after completion.
For cleaning specifically but you can use it for anything, I highly recommend the **Tody app** for this exact feature you’re looking for. It resets the clock on the recurring task after you actually complete it. So if I’m supposed to clean my bathroom every week, if I’m set to do it Saturday but I don’t get around to it until Wednesday, then the next one will be “due” the following Wednesday. It organizes tasks by rooms in your home or you can sort by due date, etc. and it does a nice gradient color coding for upcoming tasks. You can set up rooms with different cleaning tasks and it has a ton of templates for common tasks but you can add your own. For any other tasks like cleaning out the car for example you can set up a “room” called Car and add tasks to it.
Toodledo has this. Items can be set to recur from due date or completion date. Also has start date with the option to hide items with future start dates
OmniFocus allows you to set a repetition from the schedule or from completion.
Things if you're on Mac/iOS
you probably have to move the task to today first, then it will do it, most task managers rely on the due date
