Hey everyone Quick question for people running Google Ads is there a tool that lets you search the actual Google Ads library by keyword? What I'm looking for: type a keyword and see every active ad running on it, across all advertisers (not just look up one brand at a time like the Transparency Center forces you to). Ideally also filter by city, spot new advertisers as they launch on a topic, and get alerted when a business starts running new ads. Everything I've found so far is either SERP-based (SpyFu, Semrush estimated, patchy data) or makes you enter a competitor's domain first. Nothing that goes keyword → all advertisers from the real ad content. Does something like this exist and I'm just missing it? Or is everyone stuck checking brand by brand?

Nope, that unicorn doesn’t exist. Google keeps that data locked, so tools like Semrush/SpyFu are just guessing from SERPs. End result? We’re all basically doing detective work or stalking ads manually like it’s 2012.

the pure keyword to every advertiser thing doesnt exist because google indexes the ad transparency center by advertiser, not by ad copy. so theres no legal public endpoint that goes text search to all matching ads the way you want. closest hacks i actually use: transparency center does let you search within a region and it will surface advertisers, so you can filter by country/city which covers your geo bit. for spotting new advertisers on a topic the realistic move is set up google alerts + a serp rank tracker on your money keywords and watch when new domains show up in the paid slots, thats your early warning. and for the copy itself, scrape the top 20 SERPs for a keyword on a schedule, the paid results there are the live ads. its stitched together not one tool but it gets you 80% of what you described. the clean single tool version just isnt allowed to exist

In SEMRush you can use the 'Ads History' tool to see what domains are bidding on specific keywords, and then use the 'Advertising Research' tool to see all of the various ad copy each domain is using when bidding on those keywords.

I’d like that too!

Other than the google ads transparency tool, nope!

Yeah it's called Google. Just type words in the search bar and it'll show you relevant results at that time.

You can actually do that with SpyFu. Just type in the keyword into the search and click on Advertiser History. It shows every ad by every advertiser on that keyword currently -- and going back many years (for some keywords until 2006). In the last year, we significantly upgraded our ad collection so that now we collect high volume and heavily local keywords as much as 100 times per day. As a consequence you'll see about 600x more PPC ad data (both ads and advertisers) than we've had in the past -- and idk 20,000x more than SEMRush, etc. (that's a rough estimate - but it's close. We care a lot about PPC data ;) (I'm the Founder of SpyFu).
