Hello, I have a laptop that has been retired, its got plenty of power so I decided to look into the more permanent self-host options. I got jellyfin setup (was already using it on my local machine for media managmenet, streaming to the tv and such). Since I have the server setup running jelly fin I figured id run other useful things. I love the idea of an echo show on my fridge or wall, nice for cooking so you don't have to look at your phone, in case you need to add something to the grocery list etc. One of the things that I guess I'm a bit obsessed about whilst it's not that important is package tracking. I saw that Home Assistant has a bunch of features that could replicate the Echo dashboard look. (I am not much into home automation at this house, maybe when we move). But the parcel tracking options are slim. Whilst I wouldnt mind coding something for my use case (edit: I know tracking apis are paid and a bitch and whatnot, I figured itd be like a jank solution of using a website change scraper combined with something that gets the links from my email or such), i ready made solution is always preferred. Mail and Parcels is okay - I installed it set it up but unless I missed something, you can't get detailed info -when youre expecting what package, etc. Regarding the package tracking id just like the dashboard to show: USPS - Tracking #69420/Title Expected Delivery Aug 3rd by 3pm Amazon - Tracking #67/Title Expected Delivery Aug 12th by 9pm And then you get notified on your phone on the day when a package is supposed to arrive Im currently set up on Cosmos and was going to use home assitant, but I am open to other suggestions if theres a good way of going about it. I know this thread mostly focused on the package tracking section of my dream, but if you have other suggestions regarding the dashboard look of an echo show or such, I am all ears Thank you

Old laptop as a wall display works fine. The trap is sleep. caffeinate or xset off, disable lid sleep, and remember the browser throttles timers in a background tab even with the screen awake. Full screen, foreground tab, or your slideshow quietly stops after an hour.
