Im already bllz deep into privacy and have implemented SimpleLogin to mask my email with proxies left and right, but I wanted to figure out if a similar type of service (free preferably) has been implemented for Credit card usage or Phone numbers to use regularly?

Not necessarily stupid. Maybe just ignorant or naive? “Wouldn’t it be nice if X” doesn’t take you very far if the real world doesn’t provide you any opportunity to do X. How would we mask a number? With another number. Where do we get it? From another provider. So… if the other provider doesn’t provide us privacy, we’re back where we started.

yeah this basically, the credit card version is a real bank/provider issuing tokenized numbers on your behalf, not you generating a private one out of thin air. so you're still trusting a third party with your identity, just a narrower one than your actual bank sees on every transaction. still better than nothing but calling it "private" is a stretch.
