Its quite a simple task but, i tryed to use some free ai (grok, chatgpt) to keep track of goods i bought and sales i made. I want some flexability how i provide the data, text entry, cvs upload or just post screenshots in the chat. From time to time i might wanna reports and infos about my sales. the ai oviosly needs to memorize this as i add new buys and sales over time. (it isnt a big amount of data. after the initial load of 100 sales and buys, its probaly just a handful new entrys per week. that worked quite well with gpt and grok, but the limit of messages and picture uploads as a free user is horendous to work with. but as i said, the chat limit on these online free ais is bothersome, so i tought for such a "simple" task i ai running on my pc shoud be good enugh?

Respectfully, that you are asking, means you aren’t yet ready to do it. You didn’t even paste your laptops system information in this post. I would ask free AI to fill in your gaps, and then come here with specific questions. Be prepared for at least 10 to 20 hours of serious work and configuration to get this going the way you want it to.
For bookkeeping, I’d be careful with fully automated AI at first. A better beginner setup is local OCR/search plus AI suggestions that you manually approve, with an exportable ledger so you can audit what changed.
I wouldn't rely on AI to remember everything. Keep the data in a spreadsheet or database, then use a local AI to read it and create report.

Tbh I would just use deepseek v4 flash, its cheap as hell and you wouldn't need to waste resources on it, Ive dropped a little over 1 billion tokens on v4 flash and haven't even spent 10 bucks
