Anyone know why our dishwasher won’t drain?

For context it’s a Frigidaire model. Serial #TH54132224. Model # FDPC4221AS3A

Have you checked the drain and drain lines?

^^^^ I don’t know too much about anything, but my general knowledge of how things works tells me a few things - Check the “filters” food can block drainage - I imagine there is a form of pump that handles this, maybe it is malfunctioning - Check the lines, could be backed up Another question you should ask yourself is if water keeps building up or stays at this level.

It's the pumps, its almost always the pump

I have one on my desk at work that went. Replacement is in its way. Commercial dishwasher drain pumps are about $400 fyi. Plastic pump the size of a fist.

The pump is either broken or clogged. Or the timer is bad.

This right here, more then a few times had a damn bone blocking the drain hose going into the drain. It's easy to check and have a bucket handy

There's a drain line that goes from the underside of the dishwasher to your actual drain underneath your sink most likely. Have you checked that?

Dishwasher detergent pods don’t completely dissolve sometimes and that plasticy outer coating can block your drain lines.

I had the same issue a while back with my dishwasher.............the repairman that was sent to fix the problem cleaned a filter out and I was good after that, so that could be your issue

Does it have a filter that you can reach in and remove?

Using your garbage disposal a lot might clog the drain port from the dishwasher. All the water the pump is unable to force out into the disposal, flows back down the hose and ends up in the bottom. A broken pump wouldn’t drain any water, and the dishwasher would overflow every time you run it.

There’s a pump that drains it. On annual start up the pump will run to drain excess water. You could have something stopping the pumps drain fan

Screen I. The bottom May be clogged.

Also check that there isn't stuff under the float in the bottom left.

Any chance you’ve had the disposal replaced recently? I’ve even seen plumbers forget to knock out the plug in the side where the dishwasher drain hooks up

Drain is clogged would be my first guess
