How good is a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze (Limited) LT?
okay, I just need a car to get me to my job, but I also love the classic Cruze, I did like the Cobalt but there’s none for sale, the Cruze is used (125,843 Miles) and costs $5,990

Based on what I have heard and read, the 1.4t turbo engine has a bunch of issues. Plastic cooling system parts get brittle and fail. This causes coolant leaks, the engine overheats and blows the headgasket. The oil tube to the turbo can leak. Which means the turbo might fail from lack of oil. Or the oil gets low enough that the engine fails. The PCV valve is built into the valve cover, they tend to clog up and fail. Because it is built into the valve cover, you have change the whole thing. If you keep om top of maintnemace and watch fluid levels, it could be OK. You can get metal parts to replace the plastic bits in the cooling system. If you want something you can just drive and rarely open the hood, a Cruz is not the best choice.
I’ve heard that a lot, but most reviewers say it’s a very good car to recommend for anyone, I have no clue why this car’s drivers are either the biggest fan, or biggest hater, but I’ll keep this in mind. Thanks!
I think it might be one of those cars that does OK with a careful and attentive owner, but if it is neglected it will have expensive repairs.
