Another post... I am a very indecisive person, so my kitchen renovation has been tough. I've been going back and forth on appliances for a couple of months, but I need to make a final decision by tomorrow so I can give the cabinet company the appliance dimensions. Keep in mind that my kitchen is very small (10x10), and the refrigerator and range will be on the same wall, which has made choosing appliances problematic. Here are my choices: Bosch 800 fridge, range, and dishwasher: Reliable with great reviews, but aesthetically not really my style. Fisher & Paykel fridge, range, and dishwasher drawer: I love the look, and the refrigerator is shallower than most, but I've read mixed reviews about reliability and replacement parts. The range is also several thousand dollars more than the Bosch. GE Café 33" fridge, range, and possibly a Bosch dishwasher: Going with the 33" refrigerator would allow me to have a 15" cabinet to the left of the fridge instead of a 12" cabinet if I choose one of the other brands. It's also the least expensive option, but I'd be giving up a 36" refrigerator and have read a lot of mixed reviews. Would love to hear what you would choose if this were your kitchen. If you can afford it get induction. You will not regret it.

I prefer the look of the fisher set - looks more culinary professional and less black on the stove front. I dont love a water dispenser but the fisher stove is a win so have to get the matching set.
I personally wouldn't get anything with a digital display, just another thing that can possibly fail.
I did all Fisher and Paykel in my kitchen when I built (stove, separate wall oven, fridge, dishwasher) and I’m super happy with them
Do not get the F&P dish drawers! We had the double drawers for a year and had to get them serviced regularly because it would stop mid cycle and/or not clean the dishes. We finally got rid of them and replaced with a Miele dishwasher.
I designed my kitchen around a 33" fridge and I wish I hadn't. It's small (counter depth) and there aren't as many options. If I did it again I'd go 36". You can never have enough fridge space.
Don't by a Fisher and Paykel product. They do not have a good reputation. The company is also Chinese owned now.
As someone who sells appliances for a living, Bosch is always worth the money
Benchmark overpriced but the 800 series. Fisher Paykel. Stay away unless it’s their pro models with brass burners . Pc loves pushing the umrp stuff ( never goes on sale). If it’s one of those 2 definitly go Bosch and 800 series to save some money
First off, go induction! We have the F&P induction and it is amazing! We went from electric to gas to induction, and if I had to do it all over again, would totally get induction. See those big heavy grates? you have to lift and clean all the time, after it cools. Induction, you can swipe it clean like it’s an electric cooktop, yet it has the responsiveness of gas burners, without the added heat escaping the sides of the pans. No fires, no unhealthy gas particulates! Win/win.
Also, going to add go with a standard size of whatever you get. Or you’ll end up with a hole you can’t fill when the appliance maker decides they don’t want to make that odd size anymore. Ask me how I know. Also, Bosch dishwasher over F&P drawers. Read the reviews! Editing to add also Bosch Fridges last forever.
What ever you do, do not get a Frigidaire anything. And do not get anything from PC Richard’s.
We have a Fisher Paykel stove and love it. We have a Bosch dishwasher and love that appliance. I would imagine Bosch stoves are good quality.
Bosch for the dishwasher. There are probably better brands for the range and fridge.
Stay away from GE. They are Chinese garbage now. The other two are still holding up from what I hear. I have Bosch and Thermador (which is Bosch) and am very satisfied.
I’m GenX (no helmets) so don’t care, but there’s been a push away from gas stoves due to benzene cancer risk, I guess make sure you have good ventilation/hood. But more importantly to my OCD, we’ve had stainless tops before and they get so dirty, scratched and marred up. The last 2 new stoves we got have black tops, like this one in our 3y old cottage where I am now. Oh, also I had pull out our Bosch wall oven, take it apart, and replace the convection ring twice, and door hinges got wonky, not a fan of them for ovens.
I had a Bosch 500 dishwasher installed a month ago and hate it. It doesn't dry the dishes unless you unload it immediately. If they sit a little while, they become wet again. Everybody told me to buy a Bosch. The reviews for Bosch were terrific. People tell me they love their Bosch dishwashers. Nobody told me they don't dry the dishes. Maybe my expectations were too high. I was replacing a KitchenAid that -- I'm not kidding -- lasted 36 years.
I have a Bosch fridge and love it, it is holding up and easy to organize food. I was not impressed with the Cafe fridge hands on at all, seemed very cheap. I did get the cafe stove which I am happy with. I wanted a double stove and the burner layout seemed better than Bosch. I compared Bosch to Miele and went Miele for the dishwasher but it was much more expensive and def a splurge. It just had better racks and physical buttons on top. Three spray arms instead of 2 + showerhead. You don't need to brand match your appliances... buy the ones that function the best in each category that is in your price.
Do you have a local service person to service both brands? If not then you may wait weeks for a service call
Whatever you do, please do not get a Samsung appliance. Even if they give it away. Phone? TV? Sure. But please, not a Samsung household appliance.
are the knobs on the stove PLASTIC?
DO NOT GET A SMART APPLIANCE. It will break and cost a ton to fix. Both of your stove selections have the knobs in a dangerous position. Knobs should be on top of the stove, not in front where a toddler can turn them . You can also turn them on by accidentally rubbing against them.
