I have been heavily considering making some upgrades to my PC and doing a lot of research. I’m not sure if it’s even worth doing considering the insane prices of components right now, so I’m looking for some opinions on what I should do. PC Specs: - Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Mobo - Intel i7 8700 CPU - 32GBs Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz DDR4 RAM - Cooler Master 240ML AIO CPU Cooler - RTX 2070 GPU - 600W 80+ Gold PSU - 2TB Corsair MP600 M.2 SSD - Lian Li Mesh Cool II ATX Case My budget is around $700-$900 and I’m considering just upgrading my GPU to an RTX 40 / 50 series card or an RX 9060/9070 XT. I am also considering upgrading the CPU but I am not sure if it’s worth staying on LGA 1151 socket or if it would make more sense to switch to an AM4 or AM5 cpu, like a 5800X3D. AM5 would obviously mean I need DDR5 RAM which is way too overpriced currently. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I would look at AM4 since you already have 32GB of ram and the LGA 1151 has very little upgrade for you. You could get the 5800x3d or look into something like the 5500x3d on aliexpress for around $180. You could get that plus a decent motherboard and get something like a 9060xt and see a huge improvement to stay around the low end of your budget. And if you want towards the higher end get the 5800x3d or upgrade the gpu.
