Games seem to crash on my PC quite often (Mechabellum, Anno 117, Supermarket Together). Could this be due to my PSU not being able to handle voltage spikes well enough? Even if I put my games on high settings, should that just drop the framerate, not make them crash? Or would the issue be the CPU maybe? Here are my specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D GPU: MSI Gaming Trio 5070Ti OC Mainboard: MSI B850 Tomahawk Max Wifi PSU: FSP Vita GM 850W (gold-rated) (using its cables too) CPU cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 Pro Windows 11 debloated with Chris Titus tool Edit: RAM: Kingston Fury 32GB 6000MT/s CL30 SOLUTION: Using the software OCCT I found out the issue is my RAM and that disabling EXPO stopped the crashes (at least so far in the testing software)!!!

It could. Check event viewer at times of crash and see what errors pop up
Your best option you can try doing reinstall windows first try if that solves it
Thanks for the tipp! Using OCCT I did a CPU+RAM test. After 2-3min I got errors every second. I then did a CPU only test, after 2-3 minutes nothing came up, so before waiting I did a RAM test. At 80% RAM load (32GB total) after only 1-2 minutes the PC crashed. I did it again with 50%, it crashed again. I then disabled Expo1, after 3min nothing. So now I did CPU+RAM again, and after 5min NOTHING!! Even crazier, my CPU temps also went from ~95C to <70C! You are a saint! To everyone reading: Try OCCT!
Should I do a post telling people that with my setup you should maybe disable Expo? I remember always reading that Expo is only good.
I tried the OCCT tool u/Gladnir-5936 recommended. The issue was my RAM. After disabling EXPO it now runs extremely well in the tests
The way I came to suspect the PSU was that my cousin had frequent PC crashes, and after changing the PSU everything was fine. I then thought maybe the CPU does not get enough voltage or so during high peaks and crashes. But you can read the other comments, the issue was my RAM settings. Thanks everybody for the feedback
That PSU is high quality and wattage looks good for your setup. There might be something else at play. Try looking for the error logs and start troubleshooting from there I guess
Or check your temps and disable xmp first

Another RAM test at 80% also didn‘t crash my PC anymore after 7min.
Yes its possible but its hard to identified it unless you have psu tester or certain app to monitor all the voltages while its in full load
Update BIOS to the latest stable version - that can sometimes help EXPO. There may be more than one EXPO profile you could test if the others work. But as always, stability comes before a few % of speed.
Test turning off EXPO overclock. You may have to try running Windows without Chris Titus tool. Can your computer handle an OCCT test run? What does the Event Viewer say?
It's possible, but more typically it would be a driver crash or system restart.

It's possible but it would -not- be the first thing I think of. Typically power issues result in Windows crashing or the computer shutting down or restarting.
