Hey guys, I'm currently in the process of moving out so I'll also be leaving my current company to build my own business. The company was in commercial cleaning, but I think it'd be far more realistic to go for residential cleaning as I'll only be running the gig with 2 other family members. Right now, I'm preparing the management side of things and want to get a proper setup ready for scheduling and invoicing. I'm looking to try out a few options like Housecall Pro, ZenMaid, and Tofu to see what fits best for a small 3 person business, but I want to hear some of your recommenations before I pay for one of these. So just anything simple that lets me help get my invoices out quickly would be great. Thanks guys.

For a three-person cleaning business, I would prioritize the few steps that must happen every time: capture the job details, put it on a shared calendar, send the invoice immediately after completion, and see what is unpaid. Extra features are less important if they make the crew slower or require duplicate data entry. Before choosing, run the same sample jobs through each option and check how quickly you can reschedule, handle recurring visits, record notes or photos, and send a payment reminder. Also check whether the customer history and invoice data can be exported. A simple process that everyone follows will beat a more powerful system that only one person understands.
There's more money in commercial cleaning. Cleaning an insurance office isn't any harder than cleaning a house and insurance agents have more money.

I've watched a lot of small crews make their pick, and for a 3-person cleaning crew, ignore everything except: (1) how fast you can go from "job done" to "invoice sent," meaning a way to invoice from your phone the moment you finish a job (2) how easy it is to setup recurring jobs scheduling (3) online payments so you're not chasing checks Housecall Pro is solid but can feel like overkill (and overpriced) at your size. ZenMaid is cleaning-specific, which is nice. Out of the ones you named, ZenMaid would be best fit, but check whether the invoicing flow fits how you work
housecall pro is solid, i've used it a bunch on the HVAC side. invoicing is quick and the mobile app is decent for on site stuff. but for a 3 person team i'd lean ZenMaid over HCP. its built specifically for cleaning businesses, HCP is more of a general field service tool (HVAC, plumbing, electrical too) so youll be paying for a bunch of stuff you'll never touch. honestly just run the free trials on both and see which one your family actually opens without complaining. at your size thats the real test, not the feature list.
