Lifted top of oven and now it wont pop back into place?
Help, I lifted the top of my oven (to clean) and now it wont pop back into place. I checked a million times if the wires are correctly placed. They look like they are. This is a GE electric stove. I dont see anything obviously misaligned 😭 i feel dumb…
Help, I lifted the top of my oven (to clean) and now it wont pop back into place. I checked a million times if the wires are correctly placed. They look like they are. This is a GE electric stove. I dont see anything obviously misaligned 😭 i feel dumb calling repair for this but will do that if need to

Those two metal sticks on each end hold up the top so you can clean it. Move them front to back and it will come down.
I did that but when I put the top down, it can still be easily lifted (unlike when I opened it the first time, there was resistance until I moved the "CLEAN" bar from left to right). I
Move the clean bar as your trying to close then. But to me it looks about right.
To clarify, in chronological order, images 3 and 4 are before 1 and 2. 1 and 2 show that the stove is still not back in place
You probably just need to line the tallywacker with the hole and gave it a good chop
