I've had an extremely minimal skin care routine for years but my facial skin is starting to show my age so I'm wanting to step things up. I used to only wash my face in the shower every few days and in between used a toner (first Burts, now Thayer's) and it was great. But now that I'm using moisturizer more regularly, and especially tinted facial sunscreen during the summer, I feel like I should be washing my face every night. I've used Clinique's "All About Clean foaming facial cleanser" for years in the shower but read that they're not the best company to support. I tried The Ordinary's cream cleanser but it feels like it literally does nothing - it just moves around on top of my skin until I rinse it off, and then when I use a cotton pad with toner there's still tons of dirt/sunscreen left on my skin (not so with Clinique). Anyone familiar with the All About Clean cleanser who could make a good alternative recommendation for daily use that will actually remove sunscreen/makeup?

I like CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, it leaves my face feeling clean but not tight/dry and effectively removes mascara/eyeliner. I use it twice daily and don't have issues with dryness, but I do have combination to oily skin.
If you want something that removes sunscreen and makeup well without feeling harsh, I'd look at La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser. I've been using it for months and it leaves my skin feeling clean without stripping it. Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser is another good one if your skin gets sensitive. If you wear tinted sunscreen every day, you could also try a cleansing balm first, then follow with your regular cleanser. I started double cleansing and noticed there was a lot less leftover makeup on my cotton pad after. It sounds like The Ordinary cleanser just isn't strong enough for what you need. Hopefully you find one that works bettter without drying your skin out. Definatly worth trying.
Try an oil cleanser like Muji oil cleanser or Kose softymo deep cleansing oil
