I had a cardiac arrest event earlier this year and am looking for a car that can monitor driver engagement and perform a controlled stop if I lose consciousness again (Emergency stop assist). I also need to drive someone with Parkinson's occasionally, so spacious leg room, higher ride height and 2nd row seats that can slide forward/backward are needed as well. Right now she can get in and out of my Sienna using a step stool without issues. So far it seems like Volkswagen Atlas fits the bill. But are there are other options that would work well? Especially something with sliding doors? Thanks!

Not sure what the advantage is to the X over the Y here, and you can still buy Y's new.
Came here to say this. If there's ever been a use case for FSD, this is it.
They requested the rear seats be able to slide, and wanted easy entry (sliding doors).
Why?

volvo has some models with pilot assist that can bring the car to a stop if you dont respond to the warnings, might be worth looking into. the xc90 has good space and the seats are real comfortable for someone with mobility issues. sliding doors gonna be tough to find outside a minivan though, most suvs just dont have them
If you might zonk out at any moment while driving, you shouldn’t be driving.
Perhaps a newer Model X with the latest self driving hardware? They’re discontinued now so unsure how that would work.
The Atlas is perfect, though, I would also look into the Toyota Grand Highlander, and Lexus TX. But will you tell us a bit more about what you wanna see in said car?
