Help me choose between two RAM sets

Currently buying parts for my first PC. I have two ram options available, to be paired with a 5080 and either a 9800x3d or 7800x3d cpu: - 32gb ddr5 4800mhz cl40, no heatsink - 32gb ddr5 6000mhz cl38, with rgb heatsink There’s a $63 price difference between them. Both are within budget for the overall build, but it’s not a cheap PC so I don’t want to spend needlessly. I’ve read that ram speed doesn’t matter so much with an x3d cpu, but I’m not sure about the heatsink. Would not having a heatsink impact the longevity or performance of the ram? In general, if you were locked into spending hundreds on ram either way, would you pay the extra 60 for aesthetics and a negligible performance gain?

I'd pay for the second option. Aesthetics matter to me, but if they don't to you...well it's a very minor difference with performance. Heat with DDR5 actually does matter quite a bit though.
Thanks, that’s good to know. I ended up going for the slightly better ram since you’re right, it’s not that much more in the context of the whole build. If I have to pay present day ram prices then I might as well be paying for ram that at least looks good in the final PC.

Cl 36 was out of budget unfortunately, that particular rampocalypse markup felt a bit too steep to justify in my currency. Gotta compromise somewhere. I did get the 6000 mhz though.
at least you're cpu is a x3d one and i guess you'll be playing at 1440p or 4k so hopefully that cl38 won't be that bad.
You lose like 4% on average between those two when intentionally cpu limited at 1080p so you’ll probably see nowhere near that in reality. That said if you’re putting together a build of that expense the extra $60 is mere percentage points of the overall cost so you might as well get the pretty performative stuff
Second option is better. Turn the rgb off if that's not your thing, but for a price difference that small, it's worth it for the higher speeds, lower latency, and lower temps.
the ideal ram specs are it being at least 5800 mhz or 6000 mhz and above and when buying a 6000 mhz ram , it's better to keep the cl below 36. so i say , if you can , find another ram that is 6000mhz cl 36 , but if these are your only options, then buy the second one obviously.
