Thank you so much. I meant- does this routine sounds good or should I change anything in this? With the products or anything?
Leave it as it is for 4 weeks before swapping out one thing at a time.
Thank you. I was under the sense that I would use either one - Aziderm or Adapalene. Not both of them.. Currently only using Adapalene in the pm routine. Will definitely not skip the moisturizer. Got it. My skins been the same. But the good part has been no new acnes..
Sorry if this is a bit long for such a simple request. But I got a simple answer with a lot of explanation which I think is really important here. I think I'd give this routine a little more time before changing anything again. Adapalene and Aziderm can both take like SEVERAL weeks before you really notice a difference, so one week doesn't give you enough time to see much of anything useful. Your routine also looks pretty simple, which is usually a good thing when you're treating acne. I wouldn't add more actives right now because it could make your skin more irritated. If your moisturizer feels too heavy, maybe try a lighter gel one instead. Just keep using sunscreen every morning and stay consistant. And then if nothing changes after around 8 to 12 weeks, then I'd think about changing products. Good luck, and I hope your skin starts calming down soon. It can take whole lotta patiance with acne.
Seconding traxt999 here, one week is way too soon to judge anything. Adapalene especially can take a solid 8-12 weeks and often looks worse before it looks better. Changing everything again now just means you'll never know what was actually working. One thing worth flagging, the "moisturizer if needed" in the morning. With adapalene at night, your barrier is doing a lot of work, so I'd make moisturizer a non-negotiable AM and PM rather than optional. Dryness and flaking are what make people bail on retinoids before they've given it a fair shot. The other thing I'd watch is that you've got adapalene and azelaic in the same PM step. That's two actives on already-retinized skin, so if you do get irritated, alternating them on different nights is the first thing to try rather than dropping either one. How's your skin feeling right now, more irritated and flaky or just not improving yet?
