Is X5650 still good in 2026

It's a 16 year old server PC 6 cores 12 threads is pretty standard today, but the single core speed is going to be ridiculously slow. Same with the multicore speed. 24gb RAM is a good amount, although DDR3. All you're running is an android emulator, so maybe it could be fine? $35 isn't much to take the risk
X99 is ddr4.

It is a CPU from 2010, it boosts lower than the base clocks of modern CPUs. It should be ok for Roblox, but it is aging hardware. A Ryzen 5 5600G outscores a dual X5680 setup in almost all benchmarks, doing it with higher boost clocks, modern hardware and with all modern instruction sets the Xeon partially lacks (which limits what it can run). All by doing 80W at max while a dual X5680 setup will draw 260W without issues. Idles at ~4W vs 40-55W. For $35 it is ok, but know it is 16 years old.
I mean it's 35 dollars...it may not be considered good to the majority but if it does what one needs as a end user I would care less. I doubt you would see any recent benchmarks on it, might be though.
if you can get a x99 ddr3 setup it will be much faster. x99-xd3 motherboard, 2666v3 and buy ecc ddr3 ram. Should be pretty cheap.
