2011 ve commodore. When my car is cold and I reversing outta the driveway, my brakes make a scraping noise and then the abs comes on. Thr scraping noise goes away after 10 seconds or so ( only scrapes when touching brakes ) and if I pull over and reset my car…
2011 ve commodore. When my car is cold and I reversing outta the driveway, my brakes make a scraping noise and then the abs comes on. Thr scraping noise goes away after 10 seconds or so ( only scrapes when touching brakes ) and if I pull over and reset my car the abs goes away. But yea when it's cold it does this, what could it be? I got my brakes checked and they were fine and pads were fine

Oh really? Does an abs scanner pick up on that? Would it be an expensive fix? Thanks for your reply
Yes, the ABS light you mention on the dash will have a corresponding stored fault code. If the code says something like 'Wheel Speed Sensor Signal Implausible' or similar, we know we're on the right track.
Wheel speed sensor or encoder ring. Suspect your scraping noise is the ABS doing its thing when it shouldn't be.
